Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will face each other this year with a long series of one month. This cricket series will start with the first test match on 25th October, 2014 and end with the 5th ODI match on December, 2014. It will consist of 3 tests and 5 ODIs in total. There will be no T20 match in the series.
The series will take place in a situation when Bangladeshi cricket is going through a bad time. The Bengal Tigers have not won a single game in 2014. Their last series was against West Indies in August-September, 2014 in West Indies. The away series was another great sorrow moment for the Bangladeshis. They lost all the 2 tests and 3 ODIs against West Indies. The only T20 match was abandoned due to rain.

Meanwhile, the selectors have lost confidence over Mushfiqur Rahim in ODIs. They have selected separate captains and vice captains for the Tests and ODIs for Bangladesh.
Mashrafe Mortaza, who have led the team in the past, has been selected as the ODI captain. Shakib Al Hasan, another former captain has been named as his deputy.
Mushfiqur Rahim is kept as the captain for the Test matches. Tamim Iqbal has been named as the vice-captain for the test matches.
Earlier in this year, Shakib Al Hasan was suspended from all types of cricket for some of his bad acts. So, he missed the last series against West Indies. But, he appealed against it and got his punishment reduced. So, he will be playing in this series for sure.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe will look forward to beating Bangladesh in this situation. Zimbabwe team have arrived Bangladesh on 17th October, 2014. After playing a 3 day practice match in Fatullah, Narayanganj, they will start their campaign with the first test on 25th October. They will leave Bangladesh on 2nd December.
Zimbabwe will play a three match test series in last 13 years. They played a three test series against Sri Lanka way back in 2001. Bangladesh will play a three test series in last 7 years and for the third time in their cricketing history.
The last time these two teams met was in the last year. The 2 match test series was a 1-1 draw and the ODI series was won by Zimbabwe by 2-1. So, Bangladesh will feel some pressure playing with Zimbabwe. But, they have no other way out. They must win this time to bring back the lost glory of Bangladesh Cricket.
